An abbreviation of "CHAMAL" for citizens and therapists for emotional support.
A dream symbolizes hope, and while we established the project during a period of distress, through providing emotional support, we hope for days of calm, peace, and hope.The HALOM project was established to provide immediate emotional support to Israeli citizens in times of distress, during times of war. We understand that our strength lies in our unity as a people, rooted in our values of volunteering and giving. We have built a comprehensive system to provide personalized assistance (age, language, method of communication) from anywhere and at any time. We pride ourselves on not only being professional but also on listening, inspiring, giving, and innovating.
We believe that providing emotional assistance in times of need is more than a security blanket for our citizens. It also gives all our volunteers worldwide a sense of belonging and collective action. We will continue to work to develop and promote the HALOM project so that we can continue our activities even after the war. We chose the name HALOM for two reasons:
